Rare Groove MusicThe aim of this site, apart from selling records, is to provide an overview of some of the classic tunes that still play well today and show some of those little known gems.
You won't find any new tunes here (nothing from 2006+), strictly old school.

Personal ProfileI am a 'DJ / Selector' from South London, UK. I started playing music publicly in the late 1980's/early 90's at private (house/blues) parties where I gained invaluable experience in keeping a crowd entertained. We used to guest on many raves and used to keep a party going from night to the early morning hours, sometimes till afternoon!
During the 90's (one of my favourite music periods) I continued to DJ on the underground London party/club scene. Music policy at most clubs was R&B, Hip Hop and some sort of House music but wherever we played we would also play a gritty mix of Reggae, Bashment, Slow Jams, Rare Groove which was more representative of the blues party scene (and me).
I was also a selector for a Reggae sound, often flying to Europe to DJ in places like Germany, Italy and making connections to people as far as Japan.
I set up and owned 2 music shops in East London and sold music to most Radio DJ's in London. DJ's from commercial staions like Choice FM, BBC 1Xtra to community stations Supreme FM, Woah FM, Extreme FM, Lightning FM, Vibes FM (Oh, I forgot I played a few shows on a few radio statons too).
I wrote a regular 4 page column for a magazine for about 2 years whilst running my record shops.
During the new millenium (2000), the scene changed quite severly. Reggae revival hardly got played. DJ'ing at those events was strange, every hour the set would change from house n garage to .. house n garage. Eventually we would get a turn and we always played a hard selection of Bashment, R&B, Hip Hop, Slow Jams.
Personal highlight of my DJ career was doing my own monthly raves (which were very successful).
